About Boris
I've tutored over ten children (all ages) of Russian-American parents in New York City, empowering them learn to read and write in their parents' native language. Additionally, I do have student teacher experience, having worked with twenty-five second-graders in an elementary school on the Upper West Side during my time working for America Reads, an incredible program designed to boost literacy across our country. I've also performed various Russian-American translation work for several creative professional projects including commercial voiceovers, biographies of musicians for their Wikipedia page, resumes, cover letters, poetry, screenplays.

I'm eager to teach my native tongue: Russian, because I believe that learning another culture's language is incredibly important in today's world; foreign language skills are key in not only communication and professional relationships, but also one's broader understanding of our linguistically diverse world.
It is imperative for my students to receive guidance that will encourage them to learn on their own, as well as with my assistance; I believe in the comprehensive synthesis of textbook education and real-world, hands-on practice.
