About Sahara

I'm Sahara, a first-year Law student at Newcastle University and a recent A-Level and GCSE high achiever. I’ve always loved helping others understand difficult topics, and tutoring feels like a natural extension of that. During my own studies, having someone who believed in me and explained things in a calm, simple way made a huge difference — it gave me confidence, structure, and the feeling that I wasn’t doing it all alone. That experience is the main reason I want to teach. I know what it feels like to be stressed, confused, or overwhelmed, and I also know how much a bit of patient, consistent support can transform your grades and mindset. I genuinely enjoy breaking things down, finding the method that works for each student, and helping them see that they can do it. I’m a friendly, approachable tutor, and I care about creating a space where students feel heard, supported, and confident enough to ask questions. My goal isn’t just to improve marks — it’s to help students feel capable and motivated, the same way someone once did for me. Tutor Experience: Provided one-on-one and small group tutoring in English and politics to students of varying levels. Spent 3 weeks in Cambodia teaching English to children and teenagers aged 6–18, gaining experience adapting lessons to different ages, learning styles, and cultural contexts. Committed to supporting students’ understanding and confidence; available for online support outside of lesson time.

About the lesson

My lessons are friendly, clear, and fully personalised to each student. As someone who has just been through GCSEs and A-Levels myself, I know how overwhelming the workload can feel — and how much of a difference it makes to have that one extra bit of support from someone who understands. I had a mentor who checked in on me regularly, and it genuinely changed how confident and organised I felt. I want to give my students that same feeling. In our sessions, I break topics down simply, focus on exam technique, and help you learn in a way that suits you. I’m patient, down-to-earth, and create a comfortable space where no question is too small. I also offer online support outside lesson times, so students can message me when they’re stuck or need quick clarification. My goal is to make learning less stressful and help you feel prepared, confident, and capable.
