About Jon
Jon Reynolds is an Advanced Functional Trainer and Field-Based Biomechanics Coach with 17 years of experience — and a former British Army Paratrooper and Captain.
Don't let the military background put you off — it speaks to the standard Jon holds himself to as a coach, not how he runs a session.
He specialises in helping runners of all levels move faster, more efficiently and completely pain free. Whether you're just starting out or chasing a PB, the approach is the same: understand how your body actually moves, fix what's holding you back, and build performance that lasts.
Jon also works with athletes across a range of sports — football, rugby, tennis and any sport requiring speed, power and change of direction. If your performance depends on how fast and efficiently you move, that's exactly where he works.
Jon also coaches children and teenagers who want to get faster for their sport. His current young athletes are footballers working on acceleration: winning the first 5 metres so they get to the ball first. Sessions are structured, age-appropriate and fun, and parents are welcome to watch.
Jon is also autistic with ADHD — and brings that same forensic attention to detail to every client he works with. He's direct, evidence-based and genuinely invested in results. It also means he understands neurodivergent clients first-hand, adults and children alike, and adapts his coaching to how each person learns best.
Based in East London. Sessions in person across East and North London, and online.

Hi, I'm Jon — an Advanced Functional Trainer and Field Based Biomechanics Coach with a passion for helping people move better and run smarter.
EVERYONE STARTS WITH A FREE 15-MINUTE CHAT. We go through your goals and what to expect before you book anything. No pressure and no obligation either way.
Whether you're a complete beginner lacing up for the first time, a recreational runner looking to pick up the pace, or an experienced athlete chasing a personal best, my coaching is tailored specifically to you and where you are right now.
I use biomechanics analysis and targeted running drills to identify how your body moves and address any inefficiencies in your technique. The result? You run faster, use less energy, and — crucially — you stay injury free.
Chasing a sub-2 hour half marathon, or training for the Hackney Half, The Big Half, London Landmarks or Royal Parks? That's exactly the work I do, and we build the plan around your race date.
A lot of my clients also play a sport, and the two goals support each other more than people expect. If you want to run well and be quicker on the pitch or the court, we can work on both at once.
FOR PARENTS: I also coach young athletes who want to get faster for their sport. Football is the big one. Most of my young clients want to win the first 5 metres, because the player who reaches the ball first controls the game. We work on acceleration, sprint mechanics and change of direction using drills that are proper coaching, not boot camp. Siblings and teammates can train together, which keeps costs down and makes sessions more competitive and more fun.
Sessions last one hour and can take place in person or online. Every session is built around your goals, your body, and your pace of progress. No one-size-fits-all programmes here — just practical, evidence-informed coaching that gets real results.
PRICING: £80 per hour, and sessions are one hour. A block of five is £350. Online I also work in 30-minute sessions at £40, which suit technique check-ins and gait reviews between in-person sessions.
To get started, message me and we'll set up that free 15-minute chat. Nothing is booked or paid for until after we've spoken.
