About Zak
I’m a professionally trained guitarist with nearly 20 years of playing experience and a strong background in rock and metal guitar. I’ve been teaching online since 2023, helping students from around the world improve their technique, confidence, and overall musicianship through clear, structured instruction. In addition to my musical training, I’m also a certified school psychologist. This allows me to integrate evidence-based learning strategies into my guitar lessons, helping students learn more efficiently, retain skills longer, and play with greater relaxation and confidence. My approach is professional, supportive, and results-focused, with a strong emphasis on clarity, progress, and long-term development.

My lessons are built around helping rock and metal guitarists develop real, usable skills—not just memorize licks. I use a structured, results-driven approach that focuses on clean technique, timing, speed development, and understanding why things work, not just how to play them.
A typical lesson starts by identifying your current strengths and weakest links, followed by targeted exercises, musical examples, and clear practice strategies you can apply immediately. We track progress over time so you always know what to work on and why.
What sets me apart is my emphasis on efficient practice and bridging the gap between rhythm and lead guitar. My lessons are ideal for intermediate players who feel stuck, plateaued, or frustrated with inconsistent results, but motivated beginners are welcome as well.
