About Travis
Teaching exists because music has been my life since I was a child. I focus on building technical habits that stick.
My 7 years of experience include coaching 113 students through complex passages. I develop essential skills through focused work on left-hand agility, theory, and classical music.
My lessons cover rhythm and timing, grade exam prep, and tuning by ear. I hold an Artist Diploma in Music Performance from Manhattan School of Music. Seeing students reach their goals is what keeps me at the bench. I look forward to hearing about your musical background.

The first session begins with a diagnostic assessment to see where your technique sits today. I observe your bow hold and intonation to identify gaps in your foundation. From there, I craft a practice plan that prioritizes your specific goals for the next 8 weeks. Drawing on my Artist Diploma from Manhattan School of Music, I apply structured methods to your violin study.
We work through the nuance of each piece to ensure you move forward. The preparation for ABRSM or Trinity exams remains a core component of this process. I adjust the pace based on how quickly you pick up the concepts. Let's begin by identifying the repertoire you need to develop.
