About Nirmala Ruth
I am a retired teacher with experience teaching English in national type and national primary schools in Malaysia. I am also experienced in teaching phonics to young children to enable them to master reading. I have been successful in helping children facing problems in reading acquire the skills they need to read.

I have taught English to primary school students who are exceptionally good in their English to students who struggle to learn to speak and read. I believe every child is able to learn the language if the method of teaching is student centered with opportunities to practice the language.

Excellent! The teacher is very patient in guiding .Her teaching is very clear and easy to understand.My daughter's confident level in saying phonics sounds has improved. Thank you.
- This student is able to sound the sounds in Phase 2. She is also able to read high frequency words and tricky words in Phase 2 too. She has now started reading sentences and is able to do so with guidance. She is a hardworking student.Nirmala Ruth's response :
