About Jim
My Bachelor's degree is in Social Studies Education which includes history, geography, sociology, and government. I taught mostly 11th Grade American History, but also geography and civics from 8th grade to seniors.
I was elected to the Ohio Legislature and was re-elected twice.
I then sold electronic voting machines and traveled the country observing and working in elections observing the way different states handled election issues.
I then worked in the Bureau of Motor Vehicles in Ohio, and also in retail.
My point is that I have dealt with people from all over the world and can appreciate a wide range of cultures.

I'm old!
That means that I've had time to learn by experience, additional academics and other resources. I also have perspective into how history should be viewed. That is because I remember a lot of it during my lifetime.
Students need to be aware of the fact that figures in history DID NOT know how things were going to turn out at the end. Students need to know that historical figures grew up in a much different world with different values and views. Students need to know that history is a flow, not just seperate events strung together.
