About Hamisai
I am a retired Professor. My academic qualifications include 1) PhD in Environmental Science with specialization in GIS and Remote Sensing, 2) MSc in Environmental Science, 3) Diploma in Rural Development Planning, 4) BA with majors in Geography and History, and 5) Diploma in Education with specialization in the teaching of Geography and History in High schools. I also have the following post-qualification certificates: 1). Certificate of Recognition, 2nd International Conference and Exhibition on Satellite & Space Missions, Berlin, Germany. 2). Certificate of Participation & Training in the International Human Dimensions of Global Environmental Change, Institutional dimensions of Water, Trade and Environment, Chiang Mai, Thailand, 3). Certificate of Training in Remote Sensing and GIS applications to environmental management in support of policy and decision making, RCMRD Centre, Kisarani, Nairobi, Kenya. I have presented papers at and participated in internationally visible conferences in countries that include South Africa, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya, Egypt, the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Thailand, China, Japan and US.

I have over 25 years of teaching experience. I have taught at high school and university levels in different countries that include South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. Selected examples of institutions I have taught at include Makumbe High School in Zimbabwe where I taught A-Level Geography as senior teacher, Gweru and Morgenster Teachers Colleges in Zimbabwe where I taught Geography and Environmental Science as Lecturer and Principal Lecturer respectively, University of Botswana, where I taught Remote Sensing, Environmental Issues and Sustainable Development as Lecturer; University of Fort Hare where I taught GIS & Remote Sensing as Professor, and Bindura University of Science Education in Zimbabwe where I taught GIS, Remote Sensing, Environmental Systems & Hazards, Disaster Risk Management, Poverty & Development and Physical Geography as Professor.
My lessons will target Matric learners (grades 11 & 12), Undergraduate students, and post graduate students.
My lessons will be delivered online, via platforms like Zoom, Skype, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams. I will provide guided tours that offer vivid onscreen illustrations of how to execute different processes for practical subjects, livestream lectures and lessons and hands-on practical activities that will be purposefully tailored to meet your needs.
