About Julius
I taught college music for nearly 40 years. I have a doctorate from Northwestern University. I have taught piano, composition, theory, and analytic courses such as Sondheim: an analysis. I have been Grammy nominated twice. I have composed music which can be found on YouTube and Spotify. I have conducted orchestras, choirs, and musicals.

My tutoring is designed to teach students at any level which they might be in. I try to find alternative methods for each student. I make certain that each student is able to minimally play keyboard. However, I like to have students to also use their own instrument for studying theory/comp.
