About Michael
I am a retired Multiple Subject (Elementary) Teacher. I've had a lot of success with underperforming students who others gave up on. I've taught grades 4, 5 and six as well as adult education classes. I was also a Special Education Teacher for one plus years covering for another teacher. I've also worked jobs outside of teaching so have experience in real-world situations. I've worked well with students from a variety of cultural and economic backgrounds.

I use multiple methods and treat each student as a unique individual. I do pre and post testing to measure student progress. I do not use canned programs. You will find a very patient and professional instructor. I prefer to work either individually or in small groups. I have training in learning modalities and will need to test for that also. This determines how the student learns new material and will influence the methodology.

Students are expected to set aside agreed upon tutoring sessions and arrive on time. Arriving more than five minutes late will result in the lesson being canceled and the student being charged for the lesson.
