About Megan

I have a passion for Nursing Education. Three years after I graduated, I was contacted by the University to work for them doing marking and clinical facilitating, which I loved. This was the best job I have ever had. I thrived on teaching students the correct way of doing things, as I was very hands on in this role. I would request that I take on responsibility for a certain number of patients, and I would work together with students to carry out duties. I have a very gentle nature, and that’s the way I teach. In this way, the students were much more at ease and able to enjoy what they were doing. For this reason, I developed an excellent reputation as a Clinical Facilitator. I was also marking assignments and doing nursing research, and a couple of years later I was asked to do in class tutoring. I loved this just as much. In my nursing career, I worked in Surgical, Orthopaedics, Pathology, Aged Care, Palliative Care, Day Surgery, Cosmetic/Plastic Surgery. So I have a very broad knowledge of lots of different areas.
I love Nursing. It is challenging, inspiring, life altering, but my passion has always been in nursing education.

About the lesson

I like to focus on your goals and what you would really like to achieve in the lesson. Wherever possible, I like to refer what you are learning back to the clinical setting because ultimately that is what you will be doing. I am very proficient in teaching how to structure essays and how to answer the question thoroughly as I have marked a huge volume of assignments In the past, therefore, along with my nursing knowledge, I needed a thorough understanding of the English language, grammar, spelling, punctuation and referencing in order to be able to do this job thoroughly.
