About Adrian
I am a retired professional businessman, who spent over 35 years in middle and senior company positions in the retail and property sectors of the South African economy. My education, which includes 2 Masters degrees and a 300 hour Level 5 diploma in teaching English online , has assisted me in establishing a professional and competent approach to teaching. My last degree was obtained online from the University of Middelsex in England, which demanded a high level of proficiency in academic English.
As a native English speaker, I believe I can assist students looking to improve their conversational, reading and speaking English skills, and look forward to sharing my enthusiasm, patience and flexibility with students.

Having decided to change my direction in life, I believe I have developed a patient, empathetic approach to students, acknowledging their difficulties in learning a new language. As a teenager I was conversant in 5 different languages, thereby learning the obstacles that can afflict someone studying a different language, and highlighting for me the need for patience, respect and support a student needs in trying to learn a different language.
My approach to teaching English is to emphasize the practical elements that are relevant to the student. I believe in making lessons fun, instructive, creative and challenging, so that the
student finds the lesson instructive and enjoyable.
I am available to teach older teenagers and adults, at any level of English.
