About Sekou
I am a flute tutor with 11 years of experience and over 150 students taught successfully. I teach all levels, helping students develop strong technical skills such as breath control, tone, finger dexterity, and rhythm, while also encouraging creativity and musical expression. Each lesson is tailored to the student’s learning style and goals, ensuring steady progress and an enjoyable experience.
I also incorporate sight-reading, music theory, and ensemble practice, giving students a complete musical foundation. My mission is to nurture confident, expressive, and passionate flautists who love making music.

I teach flute with a methodology centred on adaptability, positivity, and collaboration. I recognise that each student has a unique learning style, and I tailor lessons to their strengths, pace, and musical goals. This ensures learning is effective, enjoyable, and inspiring.
Flexibility allows me to modify exercises, repertoire, and practice methods to suit each student’s progress and interests. Collaboration is an integral part of my teaching, with students engaging in duets, ensemble practice, and group exercises to develop timing, confidence, and musical expression. Positivity forms the foundation of every lesson, fostering an encouraging environment where students feel motivated to explore, experiment, and celebrate achievements.
In addition to flute instruction, I provide lessons in music theory, sight-reading, rhythm exercises, and ear training. This methodology nurtures technical skill, artistic expression, and musical understanding, helping students become confident, versatile, and passionate musicians.
