About Dylan
As a Piano tutor with 12+ years of experience, I teach school students, college students, and working professionals. I enjoy helping learners turn their interest in music into practical piano skills and greater confidence.
My teaching approach is based on understanding the learner first. I learn about their current piano level, goals, musical preferences, learning style, practice routine, and areas that need improvement. This helps me create a suitable learning plan.
I teach piano basics, finger technique, hand coordination, scales, chords, rhythm, music theory, note reading, sight-reading, ear training, song practice, improvisation, and performance preparation.
I combine technical exercises with practical songs and musical examples. I use demonstrations and guided practice to help students understand each concept clearly.
My teaching philosophy focuses on patience, communication, flexibility, accountability, and motivation. I believe students should feel comfortable making mistakes and asking questions. I help them identify their difficulties and find practical ways to improve.
I also teach practice planning and time management. I help students create realistic routines that fit their school, college, or professional schedules. They learn how to set goals and practice with purpose.
One notable achievement in my teaching career is completing 9 years of experience working with students from different ages and backgrounds. This has strengthened my ability to adapt lessons and provide individual support.
My goal is to help students become confident piano players who can continue learning independently. Whether you want to start from the basics, improve your technique, learn your favorite songs, or prepare for a performance, I provide patient and personalized guidance.

My piano teaching approach is based on Adaptation to Learning Styles, Flexibility, Collaboration, and Positivity. I believe piano is not only about playing correct notes but also about understanding and expressing music.
I first understand the student's current ability, musical interests, learning preferences, and goals. I then create lessons that combine technique, theory, rhythm, song learning, and musical expression.
Beginners develop proper posture, hand position, finger coordination, note reading, rhythm, scales, chords, and simple pieces. Experienced students can develop sight-reading, advanced technique, interpretation, dynamics, phrasing, and performance skills.
I use demonstrations, listening exercises, written guidance, repetition, and practical piano activities. I help students understand how rhythm, dynamics, phrasing, and chords can change the character of a piece.
Flexibility allows me to adjust lessons according to student progress. Collaboration encourages students to choose suitable pieces, share their musical preferences, set goals, and discuss difficulties.
I maintain a positive atmosphere where students feel free to experiment with musical expression. I provide supportive feedback and encourage students to learn from mistakes.
Along with piano, I can teach music theory, keyboard fundamentals, rhythm, chords, sight-reading, ear training, basic composition, and music appreciation. My goal is to help students develop both strong technique and meaningful musical expression.
