About Salvatore

I am passionate about science and everything related to engineering. Already during my early high school years, I began developing personal projects in the field of automation and robotics, with the goal of learning new tools and having fun with technology. Driven by this passion, I pursued graduate studies in Automation and Robotics Engineering, culminating in a PhD in robotics. During my academic journey, I had the opportunity to visit and collaborate with several robotics laboratories around the world. I currently work as a researcher in robotics for a large Italian company.

About the lesson

My approach aims to provide concrete tools for confidently tackling robotics-related projects in both academic and personal settings. The goal is not only to impart theoretical knowledge, but to develop truly expandable practical skills. Lessons are designed to adapt to the specific needs of each student, with a personalized approach geared toward solving real problems. Techniques and teaching method: The first lesson is dedicated to getting to know each other: we analyze together the context, the goals to be achieved (exams, projects, personal insights) and define a work plan. Where possible, I encourage the use of simulations, real development environments and professional tools (e.g. ROS 2, Python, C++, CAD programs, etc...). Conduct of a typical lesson: Each lesson begins with a brief reminder of the key concepts, followed by hands-on activities or assisted development of a project. We work together on the code, analyzing errors, improving organization, and deepening design choices. Depending on the level, debugging, optimization or module integration may also be addressed. My classes are aimed at: - undergraduate students of Engineering, Computer Science or related disciplines - high school students interested in robotics and programming - enthusiasts or professionals who want to learn more about or approach the world of autonomous systems. I often work with students facing projects for exams, theses, internships or personal initiatives, offering focused and flexible support.
