About Nhamo
I am PhD Holder in Biochemistry (Molecular Biology). I have over 4 years teaching experience at tertiary level. I have experience with designing course outlines, preparing, facilitating and assessing Pharmaceutical Biochemistry, Microbiology and Immunology courses as well as running practicals for these courses

My teaching method fosters active and long-term engagement of my students with learning tasks. I clearly state the academic expectations/outcomes. I believe learning does not happen through simply transmitting information from teachers to students, but that students need to be actively involved in constructing their own knowledge whether as individuals or in groups. By incorporating active engagement in my teaching leads to conceptual change, transformative learning, and higher cognitive levels of engagement. As a teacher, I construct teaching, learning and assessment activities for my students. More importantly I provide scaffolding for student learning.
My approach
1. I create a learning environment that supports the learning activities appropriate to achieving the desired learning outcomes
2. The student constructs his/her own learning through relevant learning activities.
3. I make sure that all the learning components of my teaching system which include Purpose, intended Outcomes, Teaching Method used and Assessment are macro and micro aligned to each other
