About Obe
I’m Obe Vermeulen, a Belgian composer and conductor living in New York. Over the years, my work has taken me from the concert hall to the theater, film studio, and classroom, collaborating with ensembles such as the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra, Flanders Symphony Orchestra, the London Musical Theatre Orchestra, and the English National Ballet School. I hold a master’s degree in Composition, Film Composition, and Conducting from the Royal College of Music (London), as well as a master’s in Songwriting for Musical Theatre from Berklee NYC. My international background, professional career, and extensive teaching experience make me well-equipped to guide students through all aspects of music — from theory, composition, and songwriting to orchestration, piano, and even conducting. My passion for music is what drives me every day, and I would love to share that passion with you!

No formal music training required; musicians from all backgrounds are welcome.
