About Walker
I am a motivated saxophone tutor with over 6 years of experience teaching college students. I believe that learning music should be clear, enjoyable, and goal-driven. My teaching style focuses on building strong fundamentals while allowing students to express themselves freely through music. Each lesson is planned according to the student’s level, interest, and learning speed.
I train students in tone control, breathing techniques, finger coordination, rhythm, and musical phrasing. Along with structured practice, I introduce improvisation and performance-based learning to help students feel confident while playing. I use real-life musical examples so students can understand how techniques work in actual music situations.
I also use modern learning tools such as recording feedback, play-along tracks, and guided practice routines. These methods help students hear their improvement and stay motivated. Music theory, sight-reading, and ear training are included to support complete musical development.
My classes are friendly, focused, and encouraging. Whether you want to perform in college programmes or play saxophone for personal enjoyment, I provide steady guidance and clear direction throughout your learning journey.

My approach to teaching Saxophone is student-centred and practical. I focus on helping students build a strong foundation while enjoying the learning process. Lessons cover essential skills such as breathing, embouchure, tone control, articulation, and finger coordination. I explain concepts using simple language and real-life music examples.
Creativity plays a key role in my teaching. I encourage students to experiment with sound, learn popular songs, and practise improvisation. As a mentor, I support students in developing confidence, patience, and a positive mindset towards learning music. I also promote critical thinking by teaching students how to analyse music and understand what they are playing.
Accountability is encouraged through regular feedback, practice planning, and progress tracking. Students learn to take responsibility for their improvement. Along with Saxophone lessons, I also offer guidance in Music Theory, Rhythm Exercises, Ear Training, and Basic Composition to strengthen overall musical understanding.
