About Connor
Hello, and welcome. My name is Connor and I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with clinical experience supporting children, young people, and families within a range of mental health settings, including CAMHS and inpatient services.
Alongside my nursing career, I am currently studying for a Master's degree in Mental Health. My academic and clinical experience allows me to help nursing students bridge the gap between theory and practice, making complex concepts easier to understand and apply in real-world settings.
I am passionate about supporting the next generation of nurses and understand first-hand the challenges of university assignments, examinations, placements, reflective writing, and developing clinical confidence. Having successfully navigated nursing education myself, I provide clear, personalised guidance tailored to each student's individual learning needs and goals.
My teaching style is friendly, supportive, and structured. I create a relaxed learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, building confidence, and developing their understanding without fear of judgement. Whether you need help with mental health nursing theory, evidence-based practice, assignment structure, critical appraisal, exam preparation, or placement support, I am committed to helping you achieve your academic and professional goals.
I believe that every student is capable of success with the right support, encouragement, and learning strategies. My aim is not only to help you improve your grades but also to develop the knowledge, critical thinking skills, and confidence needed to become a safe, effective, and compassionate healthcare professional.
I look forward to supporting you on your nursing journey.

I use a student-centred and interactive teaching approach tailored to each learner's needs, academic level, and learning style. Lessons are designed to simplify complex nursing concepts through real-world clinical examples, case studies, discussion-based learning, and evidence-based practice. I focus on developing critical thinking, clinical reasoning, assignment-writing skills, exam preparation techniques, and confidence in applying nursing theory to practice. Teaching materials are personalised to help students achieve their specific learning objectives.
Lessons typically last 60 minutes, although 90-minute and 2-hour sessions are available for more in-depth support, assignment guidance, exam preparation, or complex topic review. I am a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with over two years of clinical placement experience within Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and experience working within Tier 4 inpatient settings. I am currently undertaking a Master's degree in Mental Health, specialising in CAMHS. Alongside my clinical experience, I have experience in academic writing, research, psychosocial interventions, risk assessment, safeguarding, multidisciplinary working, and supporting nursing students in understanding both theoretical and practical aspects of mental health nursing.
My lessons are suitable for:
Student nurses undertaking Mental Health Nursing, Adult Nursing, Child Nursing, or Learning Disability Nursing programmes.
University students studying healthcare-related courses.
Nursing associates progressing towards registered nursing qualifications.
Apprentices preparing for assessments and assignments.
Students requiring support with:
Exam preparation
Essay and assignment writing
Evidence-based practice
Reflective writing
Placement preparation
OSCEs and clinical skills theory
Mental health nursing concepts and interventions
Lessons are primarily aimed at 18+ students in higher education, although support can be adapted for college-level health and social care students preparing for nursing programmes.
