About Lucy

I am a recently retired Head of English who has been teaching Years 7-13 for the last 18 years. My students have consistently achieved outstanding results in GCSE, IGCSE, A level and International Baccalaureate examinations as well as successful Oxbridge entrants. I was a Head of Learning Support earlier in my career and have recently become a full time examiner and text book writer.

About the lesson

My teaching method is flexible and supportive. I am always eager to work alongside each student, listening to their preferred way of approaching a subject and helping them to gain confidence and, as we progress together, enjoy the process of education.

Perfect! Lucy is a friendly, patient and effective tutor. We approached her to help my son improve his comprehension and writing skills. Its almost 8 months and we can see the difference. My son's school has also noticed the difference. We believe Lucy's long teaching experience helps in effectively assessing the student's level and tailoring the topics accordingly. My son enjoys her class very well and Lucy patiently guides and clarifies his doubts. We would recommend Lucy.
