About Grace
Hi! I'm Grace, I am a recent Natural Science graduate from the University of Cambridge. I started my degree as a biologist however quickly discovered my love for geology. I have performed independent geological fieldwork in North Wales, mapping the late Ordovician back-arc volcaniclastic strata, sedimentary strata & igneous geology. Earth science courses taken include, palaeontology, climate, vertebrate evolution, sedimentology, petrology & basic geophysics. I'm also a keen musician & funnily enough before university, never saw myself as someone wanting to go into the world of STEM!

Session length is flexible & I will facilitate to individual student needs. I have ADHD, so have first-hand experience with difficulties this poses to studying & overcoming the barriers it's given. I can empathise fully with students who suffer with this and care deeply about making sure they receive the treatment, support & adjustments that they deserve. I like to be interactive & encourage independent thinking. Geology is a very visual & hands-on subject, I like to use lots of examples & diagrams to explain concepts. I facilitate all A-level & GCSE exam boards (AQA, OCR, WJEC, CIE & Edexcel) Happy to teach anything from the course syllabus, exam preparation & go through recent publications with students and help apply this to their studies.
