About Yesmine
Welcome! I’m Professor Yesmine, an English educator with a Master's degree in Applied Linguistics from the Higher Institute of Languages of Tunis.
My teaching is clear, structured, and patient. In our first session, I’ll assess your goals, strengths, and gaps, then create a plan tailored to you. You can expect punctual, prepared lessons; honest, encouraging feedback; and a professional who respects your time and potential.

My approach to tutoring
My approach is student-centered, diagnostic, and goal-oriented. I start with a short consultation or diagnostic assessment to identify the student’s current level, strengths, gaps, confidence, and goals. From there, I build a personalized plan and adjust it as we progress.
Techniques and teaching methodology
Socratic questioning to check understanding and build reasoning, not just memorization.
Explicit modeling and worked examples: I show how to think through a problem.
Scaffolded practice: “I do, we do, you do” — guided practice before independent work.
Active recall and spaced repetition to improve long-term retention.
Error analysis: we review mistakes to understand why they happened.
Real-world examples and exam technique, where relevant.
Frequent low-stakes checks so I can adjust pacing immediately.
Metacognition: I teach students how to study, plan, and self-assess.
Typical length of a lesson
Standard lesson: 50–60 minutes.
