About Yati

"The art of teaching is the art of assisting discovery." I am here to help you become the best learner, absorber of information and test taker you can be. I am a recent MD graduate from the Caribbean. I have rotated throughout the States for my clinical rotations. I will teach you how to love to learn, daily habits to improve cognitive abilities, and test taking strategies. Throughout my medical school experience, I have had many mentors who helped guide me and walk me through different methods of approaching questions, studying and discipline. As a result, I have learned and explored different methods for my learning style and applying it to the UMLE and NBME exams. I know we will make it through all your exams with flying colors.

About the lesson

My teaching methods will include lessons outlining different case scenarios along with differential diagnoses. A typical lesson plan will go through as many scenarios as we can for the lesson along with time for you to ask questions about study material you need help with. Lesson plans for Shelf exams, CCSE and USMLE Step2 CK have been curated and will be modified to match the needs of each student. I can help create individual study plans for upcoming exams based on your strengths and weaknesses. Test taking strategies can be discussed as well throughout the lessons.

I have different slides presentations including scenarios, next best steps, differential diagnoses and more for the NBME Shelf exams (OB, Pediatrics, Surgery, Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, Emergency Medicine). Comprehensive slide presentations for CCSE and USMLE Step2 CK concepts based on high yield concepts.

Study plans will be made for each individual student.

Group lessons or individual lessons; if you want to have a lesson with a fellow student then packages can be discussed accordingly. You can text with questions outside of the lessons.

I will be an accountability mentor with you during your exam process to help you be the best you can be. I will also provide test taking strategies. Additionally, we can go through your UWorld, Amboss or NBME questions.
