About Max

With 8 years of experience tutoring math, ranging from 3rd-grade long multiplication to linear algebra during my high school and college years, I have honed my skills in making learning enjoyable. Although I am new to chess tutoring, my passion for the game developed from competing in England as a child to actively participating in my University's Chess Club. As your tutor, I am dedicated to making chess a fun and rewarding experience, providing valuable resources, and helping you elevate your gameplay.

About the lesson

In my 60-minute tutoring sessions, you will acquire essential skills such as reading chess notation, exploring basic openings from the Queen's Gambit Declined to Alekhine's Defense, and mastering instructive endgame puzzles. To reinforce your learning, each session concludes with a 10-minute game. Whether you're looking to beat your parents or prepare for competitive play, I provide tutoring for all ages at a beginner to intermediate level, and I'm thrilled to help you on your chess journey.
