About Alex
I have worked with both college students and children on their practice. I am a practicing artist who works with the concepts of home and community. I mostly make sculptures these days, but would identify myself as a painter. I also had a print making focused study for a year so I am pretty well versed in print as well. I am patient, understanding of individual needs and struggles with art and willing to help because I know the impact having help can have. whether that’s someone to hold your hand or someone to push you I am flexible and ready for both or either.

I have been developing an art practice curriculum over the last few years to help others get an understanding of the beautiful and semi-exclusive world of art practice and the freedom it can offer individuals for selfexpression, creativity production and working through trauma. My Art degree at Berkeley gave me access to professors and peers all who were practicing and having their own thoughts and experiences with art, which taught me what I felt was truly important. I am looking to help people reach a point with or through art that brings them to a better place, academically, professionally or personally.
