My approach is tailored to each student, their abilities, interests, personality and goals. We will of course work on memorising content and exam technique but also towards constructing compelling and convincing essays. Academic writing is a key focus for me, and far more simple than we tend to think. Also able to help with undergraduate essay writing. For Oxbridge tutoring the process is of course different, but I can help with personal statement, interview technique and mock interviews. I have good knowledge of how different Cambridge academics approach the interview, and connections with people who have graduated in tripos from Mathematics and Medicine to English and Art History. I am particularly well positioned to help with Psychology applications as a psychologist myself, as well as HSPS at Cambridge. Lessons will be 50 minutes as a rule of thumb. I offer discounted rates for those experiencing financial difficulty.
