About Cassandra
I enjoy teaching others the love of reading. I have experience in being a tutor in the schools. I value reading. We gain so much from learning to read to ourselves and aloud to others. Reading involves breath control, pace, and pitch. I have been a public speaker for years and use notes that I both read and memorize. Much can be accomplished with proper pausing and volume. I have a teaching certification; it is the CBEST (California Basic Educational Skills Test). Reading and writing are of the greatest interest to me, and I can pass that on to my students. As a team, we can accomplish anything.

We will first assess what your goals are. Is it to read with accuracy, to read to others, or to enjoy reading to yourself? This is a judgment-free zone. Once we figure out what stage you are in, we can find a book that you will enjoy reading. I find that reading about a subject that you enjoy makes the process much easier. I possess a CBEST certification. CBEST (California Basic Education Skills Test). I do have experience in teaching others to read, in public schools.
