About Alex
With over a decade in industrial design, I have produced work for some of the world's biggest brands and know what it means to be a good designer. I have won awards for both design products and my academic achievements while at the RCA, and I rely on my breadth of experience to establish the fullest and most stable foundation for the design practitioners I teach. Most of all, I care about inspiring you! Inspiring you to design, to explore, to break the world and rebuild it, all in the interest of making you a better designer.

I can help aspiring young designers improve their practice through guided sketching, iteration and thinking exercises. These sorts of methodolgies are great for GCSE and A level design students looking to get an edge on your uni application or work out if a career in design is for you. My goal is to get you thinking in a designerly way, interrogating objects around you and thinking about materials, manufacturing and methodology.
I can also help undergrad design students with their thought prcess, idea generation and theoretical knowledge through collaborative mindmapping exercises, and my design history qualification means I can also help with the dreaded essays!
I have taught design principles as a GTA with the Royal College of Art, V&A Museum and Imperial College London and take an advanced but clear approach to teaching- best suited to students of 16+, right the way through to mature undergrad and masters level learners.
Need workflow or practical skills training? I'm a qualified professional in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Indesign as well as Cinema 4D and can help you take your design projects to the next level!
