About Evie

I am a professional saxophone tutor with 4 years of teaching experience and a strong record of guiding around 300 students successfully. I teach high school students, college students, and adults who are serious about learning music in a proper and enjoyable way. My teaching philosophy is based on strong basics, steady progress, and confidence building. I begin every student with breathing control, posture, finger movement, tone production, and rhythm practice. These skills form the backbone of good saxophone playing. Once students gain control, I move on to scales, exercises, songs, and performance skills. I design lessons based on each student’s learning speed and goal. I also teach basic music theory, ear training, sight reading, and simple improvisation to support saxophone learning. Many of my students have performed in school and college cultural programmes with confidence. Some students have also scored high marks in practical exams. I keep my classes friendly, motivating, and well organised so students enjoy learning. My aim is to build strong musicians and confident performers.

About the lesson

My saxophone teaching approach is shaped by Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity. I create a positive learning environment where students feel supported and confident. I start by understanding each student’s goals and then build a lesson plan that matches their level. Motivation helps students stay focused and excited. I encourage regular practice and reward progress with new songs and performance opportunities. Through clear communication, I explain breathing, embouchure, sound control, scales, rhythm, articulation, and music reading in a simple way. Integrity means discipline, honesty, and commitment to quality learning. I guide students step by step and help them build strong technical and musical skills. Creativity is encouraged through improvisation, group activities, different music styles, and fun practice methods. Besides saxophone, I also teach music theory, ear training, rhythm skills, basic keyboard support, and performance techniques. I also help students prepare for exams, auditions, and stage performances. My goal is to shape confident, creative, and well-trained saxophonists.
