About Kathryn
My name is Kathryn O'Connor. I have been involved in dance and my love of it my entire life. I love to work on improving the technique and artistry of all dancers using pilates, imagery and uniquely designed exercises for individual needs. Classical dance is the basis of all dance and I most enjoy how this magnificent technique can enhance the movement of anyone wanting to improve in their chosen style. I have over 35 years teaching experience at many well established NSW schools and have studied with teachers such as Gelsey Kirkland, Beverly Rowles, Kim Traynor and Eric Franklin. I have worked along side physiotherapists as a rehabilitation and clinical pilates instructor with a keen interest in dance technique.

Coaching concentrates on correct technique for all styles of dance. Improving muscle recruitment, alignment, strength and artistry. Lessons will give a deeper understanding of the basic technique that underlines all dance and movement. Depending on what is required for the student, lessons could last from 30 mins to 1 hour.
