About Jodie
Hi, I’m Jodie, and I’m passionate about helping students discover confidence in subjects they struggle with. I currently work in a school and have experience supporting a wide range of learners, which has given me a strong understanding of how to make lessons engaging, supportive, and accessible. I want to teach because I believe that language and storytelling have the power to change how we see ourselves and the world around us, and I love helping students find their voice, develop their ideas, and achieve their academic goals.

I understand that every student learns differently. Having worked closely with SEN pupils, I’m skilled at creating lessons that are structured, supportive and engaging, whether that means breaking tasks into manageable steps, using visual aids, or integrating students’ interests into their work. In a lesson, I would begin with a short warm-up activity to help the student settle and focus, followed by a quick review of previous learning to reinforce understanding. I would then introduce the day’s objective, model the skill or concept clearly, and guide the student through practice before allowing them to work independently. Throughout the session, I would provide constructive feedback and encouragement, finishing with a brief recap of key points and an outline of next steps to consolidate learning and maintain momentum.
