About Ava
I graduated with a B.S. in Physics from UC Berkeley and spent four years teaching AP Physics at a top California high school before moving into private tutoring. Over the past six years, I’ve helped dozens of students—from juniors aiming for top colleges to first-year undergraduates—achieve breakthroughs in understanding complex topics. Outside of tutoring, I lead weekend stargazing workshops for local astronomy clubs.

We’ll begin with the foundational laws of Thermodynamics—energy conservation, entropy, and heat engines—then seamlessly transition into Quantum Mechanics applications like the particle-in-a-box and quantum tunneling. You’ll follow guided derivations on a virtual whiteboard, run interactive simulations of heat flow, and tackle real-world problems such as estimating the temperature of a star’s core.
