About Brendan

I am Brendan Naudé and I am extremely passionate about teaching. The reason why I am so passionate about teaching is because I love learning and love being in a learning environment, as well as the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of my learners. I am a qualified teacher and completed a Bachelor of Education degree with distinction in 2021 (with English being one of my teaching majors). I have had first hand experience teaching English to high school learners in an official school setting during the completion of my teacher training. I am able, willing and eager to teach English to both high school and primary school learners, as well as English home language and English first additional language learners.

About the lesson

• I teach by making use of a very student-centered teaching approach in which I allow learners to have a say in the way in which the necessary English language content is taught. This involves incorporating individual learners' interests into the lessons that I teach them, encouraging learners to decide what type of activities they think would be best to help them retain the necessary content knowledge and much much more!
• While I will be teaching English as a subject, I am fully proficient in both English and Afrikaans and I am fully capable of teaching effectively in both languages.
• Students can expect a highly personalized learning experience from every single one of my lessons, as well as a great deal of fun, practical and interactive activities to ensure that they comprehend and retain all necessary learning content without ever getting bored.
• My lessons are aimed at learners on all different learning levels as well as learners of all different ages. My lessons are also aimed at both English home language learners as well as English first additional language learners.
