About Maria
Hello! I am a native Greek speaker and a Doctoral Researcher in Linguistics in King`s College London, funded by the AHRC. I have taught English at KCL and I am currently teaching Modern Greek to adults at the Hellenic Centre of London. I have also previously taught Greek at Manor Hill Greek School, where I was working with Year 3 students. I also have more than 4 years of experience in tutoring students in Ancient Greek language and history.
I hold two MA degrees with Distinction, one in Discourse Studies from the University of Lancaster and one in Contemporary Media from the University of Wolverhampton. I got my BA with Honours at the University of Athens, on Greek and Latin Language and Literature (9,57/10).
This is my fourth year in the UK and the third in London! I love teaching, and I have tutored students of different levels, nationalities and ages for more than 6 years now. Hence, I can effectively handle individual students' learning needs. I always try my best to help my students reach their full potential and I have a great success record in doing so.
