About Becky
Teaching has never been just a job for me—it's a vocation. I am passionate about helping children and young people discover their potential and develop the confidence to succeed.
Throughout my experience working with students, I have seen first-hand how easily children can fall behind in school when their individual needs are not fully recognised or supported. Gaps in learning develop over time, leaving students feeling frustrated, disengaged, and lacking confidence in their abilities. I believe that every child deserves the opportunity to learn in a way that works for them, regardless of the challenges they face.
My mission is to ensure that no child is left behind. I am committed to identifying and addressing gaps in learning, building strong foundations, and helping students regain confidence in their academic abilities. Rather than focusing solely on what a student finds difficult, I focus on their strengths, interests, and unique learning style.
I believe that learning should be enjoyable. When students are engaged, challenged appropriately, and supported with patience and understanding, they can achieve far more than they often believe possible. Seeing a child develop confidence, overcome barriers, and experience success is what drives me every day.

My teaching methodology is designed specifically for students with Special Educational Needs (SEN). It combines a multisensory approach with student-led learning, creating lessons that are engaging, pacey, and enjoyable while building confidence and academic progress. Rather than expecting students to fit a traditional learning model, I adapt teaching to suit each learner's strengths, interests, and preferred ways of learning.
My lessons are 55 minutes in duration and I provide follow-up work to take home. I am a Level 7 dyslexia specialist teacher and assessor. I also have extensive experience with ADHD and ASD students from primary through to HE.
