About me
I have always been passionate about helping students with specific learning differences and find working with learners on a one-to-one basis immensely rewarding.
Through my experience and training I have gained an in-depth understanding of specific learning differences, including Dyslexia, ADHD and Asperger’s Syndrome, and the structured interventions and strategies which can be used to support students.
I also work with learners to help them understand their diagnosis and unique learner profile.
When working with students my aim is to boost their confidence, and in turn their ability, through friendly, patient and creative tutoring. I strongly believe that listening to the students’ needs and concerns is the most effective way of accurately identifying and addressing specific areas of development.
My lessons are tailored towards the individual strengths and talents of my students and are designed to develop their levels of confidence and self-belief.

I offer specialist online tuition for students with specific learning differences studying in the following areas:
• Further education – A Levels and vocational college courses
• Higher education – all undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs
• Adult learners – returning to education, learning in the workplace and general literacy development
I am a qualified English teacher and I have Post Graduate Certificate in Special and Additional Learning Needs. I am a professional member of The British Dyslexia Association and have over 10 years’ experience of supporting learners.
My tuition begins with an assessment of needs. Together, we will discuss what you would like to achieve during our sessions. We will consider your strengths and areas for development and subsequently identify your learning goals. I am passionate about helping students achieve their academic potential and develop their confidence.
My lessons typically last for 1 hour, however this can be increased dependent on your needs. I can provide more intensive support around exam times and essay deadlines.
I also provide lessons for student’s being home-schooled.
