About Catherine
UWA graduate BMus Hons (Musicology), Grad Dip Ed (Primary).
Currently working in K-12 College teaching music. Extensive experience with students of all ages.
I own a large library of music and can offer a range of styles including classical, ensemble work and playing for leisure. I adapt my teaching to the needs of the student, always considering student goals, learning style and capabilities.
I believe relationships and trust are key to student success.

Over 25 years experience as a flute/recorder teacher and music specialist in primary & secondary schools and as a private music teacher. Great success with students taking AMEB & ATAR exams, eisteddfods and auditions including WAAPA, UWA & WAYO. Beginners to advanced students welcome. Excellent and encouraging teacher for students struggling with particular techniques (eg. tonal control, intonation) or in confidence. Mini flute or fife option available for younger students.
