About Maryam
I am a trained and dedicated Quran teacher who genuinely enjoys helping children, females and beginners learn the Quran. My Quranic education includes Tajweed and Nazra courses, along with additional Quran and Islamic studies courses. I am also about to complete a three-year Quran course, which has further developed my knowledge and understanding of the Quran.
I have had practical experience teaching students in small batches, and this has taught me that every student is different; some learn quickly while others need more time, repetition and encouragement. I believe a teacher should understand that difference rather than expect every student to learn in the same way.
For me, teaching Quran is not just about finishing lessons. It is about helping a student feel comfortable, build confidence and develop a genuine connection with what they are learning. I especially enjoy working with children and beginners because seeing a student go from struggling with the basics to reading with confidence is very rewarding.
I aim to teach Quran reading, Tajweed, pronunciation and Islamic knowledge in a clear and encouraging way, while giving each student the patience and attention they need.
I am always willing to learn and improve as a teacher, because I believe that when we teach the Quran, we should also keep growing ourselves.

How I Teach
One-to-one attention: Each lesson is focused on the individual student and their specific needs.
Patient and supportive: I give students time to understand, practise and correct their mistakes comfortably.
Visual and interactive: I use slides, pictures, screen sharing and simple activities to keep children interested and involved.
Flexible learning pace: I adjust the pace, repetition and lesson activities according to the student's ability.
For children who struggle with focus: I adapt the lesson structure for students with ADHD or attention difficulties.
Getting Started
I first consider the student's current level and learning needs so I can plan lessons accordingly. Whether a student is starting from Noorani Qaida or already reading the Quran, the lessons are adjusted to their level.
