About Jake
My name is Jake Rommer, and I am a fully qualified classroom teacher with over 15 years' experience teaching and performing music. Starting out with a 1st class honours degree at The Academy of Contemporary Music I then went on to study a PGCE with QTS in music teaching from Roehampton University. Since completing my studies I have taught both privately and within a school environment (both as a peripatetic teacher and classroom teacher). My knowledge of music theory comes from both my studies as a musician and teacher, and my experience as a professional guitarist/songwriter.

Lessons are online and use my tried and tested method for music theory teaching by giving students a fundamental knowledge of every topic they need to know for their exam/to level up on their instrument. Lessons use a mixture of paper material (purchased by the student) and online tools. Lessons are 1 hour long. The lessons are for anyone looking to improve their theory knowledge. This is usually to help with instrumental exams or GCSE/A level support.
