About Maki

Hi everyone!
I’m Maki from Japan and I was raised in Shizuoka where is famous for Mt. Fuji. I’m currently living in England.
While teaching Japanese, I have worked as a travel coordinator in New Zealand for 3 years. I’m specialised to introduce you not only languages but Japanese culture or tips to travel in Japan! Hope you will get large amount of travel information to Japan as well as language skills from me while having lessons!

As I’m a qualified teacher as well as a learner of Chinese and Korean at this moment, it makes me to give ideas how to study and keep motivation from both sides. I will be offering you encouragement!

About the lesson

My General Japanese classes are based on a textbook (PDF would be shared) as well as listening and speaking Japanese.
What I can offer in my class through my experience as a Japanese tutor is

・Speaking/ Writing/ Grammar/ Listening/ Reading classes
・Basic Japanese
・Conversational expression or useful expression during trip in Japan
・Formal conversation tips in workplace for both writing and speaking
・Correcting your pronunciation and mistakes

Also Conversation classes are focused on not only speaking but sharing Japanese and your culture together to know about Japan more. I recommend students who are interested in culture including food, religion, literature, travel and so on!!

Perfect! Maki is a wonderful teacher that guides you to reach your potential. In the first introductory lesson I had learnt so much and she helped map out areas that we will be working through allowing me to focus on these. She has great resources and is attentive in noting new words, vocab, and phrases that will be useful in the future
