About Marie
(Individual Member of The Tutors Association) Well hello there, my fellow students of lifelong learning! :0) My profile is brand new and under construction so please bear with me. My name is Marie. My tutoring style is fun, effective, and productive. My teaching methods and styles are tailor-made according to learning styles, strengths and weaknesses, and desired outcomes. I am a warm lively friendly and patient and I believe in working smarter rather than harder! ;0) My specialism in tutoring lies with issues such as exam stress, organisation, revision etc especially within tight deadlines or stressful personal issues and circumstances. I am very patient and understanding with issues such as anxiety, learning blocks, etc. I am experienced with schemes of work, lesson plans, and I have experience in further education teaching. Exam preparation is my area of expertise. My sessions include how to utilise timings, how to structure strong answers that meet assessors' requirements, question analysis and breakdown, organising relevant content for answers, and how to combat pressure and anxiety under exam conditions. I am also a specialist at the structuring, planning, and writing of essays of various styles and lengths (from short form questions to dissertations). Primary Aged Tuition Training & Experience. (Voluntary OFSTED Registration requirements have been met, and my application is in process) Common Core Skills & Knowledge Training Course This Common Core Skills and Knowledge Training Programme is designed to build on existing work experience and knowledge, with a focus on improving and developing the skills required to work with children, young people and families. The Common Core set out by the Children’s Workforce Development Council reflects a set of common values for practitioners. These areas include: Module 1 – Communicating with children, young people, their parents and carers Module 2 – Child and young person development Module 3 – Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of the child Module 4 – Supporting transitions Module 5 – Multi-Agency Team Working Module 6 – Information Sharing Level 3 Paediatric First Aid Role and responsibilities of paediatric first aider: Incident and casualty assessment CPR Unconscious casualty Recovery position Management of a seizure Choking Anaphylaxis Shock External bleeding Prizes and Scholarships : Mini Pupillage - St Ives Chambers Birmingham within the very first term (3 months in!)
