About Fatima

I am a qualified teacher with a B. Ed Honours degree. My teaching career expands over the past 14 years from South Africa to the UAE, where I have taught English, Maths and Science to primary school learners' for the past 5 years. My foundation as a teacher has made me an excellent writer, editor, Maths and Science tutor, and STEM revolutionist with a flair for Creative Arts. I have a great command of the English language and my resilience, attention to detail, willingness to strive for perfection and learn new and creative ways of doing things, makes me a fine candidate for any future employer.

About the lesson

My teaching method is based on Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development which narrows the distance between learner's actual and potential development through adult intervention. I also use Vygotsky's advanced scaffolding method which focuses on creating learning experiences that are intriguing and merge it with the STEM ideology to incorporate design thinking, critical and creative thinking as well as collaboration and communication skills to enhance cognitive understanding of real-world problems and possible solutions to them.
