About Jodie

To whom it may concern,
I am a Senior and FET phase Educator
• I currently have 3 years experience in the teaching field with 3 consecutive years of childcare experience (Tutoring)

I am a 24-year-old female teacher with a passion for Education! I am currently teaching (2020 – Present) Grade 4 – 10 History for an IEB school. I have practiced/volunteered at 5 different schools during my studies in order to gain the necessary experience required to be a professional in this life-calling profession. I have taught all my specialist subjects (History, Geography and Tourism) from Grade 8 to 12 learners. I am currently residing in Lanseria, 5 minutes from Lanseria Airport and my current job is located in Benoni. I am really eager to find a school closer.

I have grown up in a family that taught me strong values of trust, loyalty, kindness and various other valuable lifelong qualities. I have a kind heart in every situation but know how to deal with everything appropriately, hence my career path.
You will see in my enclosed CV that I meet all the qualifications and skills essential for an educator.
I have also completed a Diploma in Tourism (3 years) and an Employment Equity training course and am able to deal with scenarios related to EE.

About the lesson

The most important aspect of teaching and learning for me is to find your personal strength in intelligence. Once you figure out how you learn, you will find it a lot easier to remember and understand.
I like to incorporate all sorts of visual, verbal, physical aspects to my lessons so that everyone can understand it in their own way.
HISTORY IS NOT BORING - My favourite topic to debate! I can definitely guarantee that History is THE MOST interesting subject when I am teaching it. My current students all find it easy to study and understand the work with ease and say they love the way I teach!
