About Nabela
Hi, I'm Nabela and I have been an educator for 4 years now. I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Foundation Phase Teaching from the IIE's Varsity College. I also have a Bachelors Degree (Honors) in Inclusive Education from Stadio School of Education as well as a TEFL certification. My experience has mostly been teaching learners who do not use English as a home language. During my time teaching I have come across many different types of learners and as such am quite confident in my planning and teaching skills to suit a variety of learners needs. I have also taught learners that require very specific learning needs making me quite comfortable planning suitable, individualised learning plans and tasks. Working with young kids I tend to enjoy conversation and play based or activity based lessons making teaching and learning a bit more fun and interactive for my students as well as myself.

My experience with teaching for the past 4 years has been with young learners, who do not use English as a home language. As a result my lessons tend to be short and concise, play or activity based and focus on one concept at a time. As a Foundation Phase Educator my English focus is mostly on Phonics, Listening and Speaking, Reading and Writing. I believe in a safe and supportive class environment that will not add any unnecessary pressure to learning and where one is able to speak freely about their own learning and learning needs.
