About Zahra
I am a PhD student in bioinformatics in Canada. I started programming in high school, and today I use Python and R regularly for research, data analysis, artificial intelligence, and deep learning. I also have experience with MATLAB and C++.
Before moving to Canada, I taught programming to university students for two years. I have also taught children and teenagers, and later volunteered as an online programming instructor in Canada. I enjoy explaining technical topics in a simple way and helping students become comfortable solving problems on their own.

I usually start by asking what you already know and what you want to be able to do with Python. For example, you may want to understand a university course, automate a repetitive task, analyze a dataset, or start programming from zero.
In a typical lesson, I first explain one concept with a small example. Then we write the code together and change it to see what happens. After that, you try a similar problem while I help when you get stuck. I also show you how to read error messages and debug your code, because this is one of the most important skills in programming.
I can help with Python basics, conditions, loops, functions, lists and dictionaries, files, object-oriented programming, NumPy, pandas, matplotlib, and introductory data analysis. I can also help you understand and improve your own assignments or projects without simply giving you the answer.
My lessons are suitable for complete beginners, high school or university students, and adults who want to learn Python for work or research.
I teach in English or Farsi.
