About Kate

Kate is an actor, singer, and beatboxer from South London. As a lover of books and the Polka Theatre in Wimbledon, Kate loved theatre and performance from a young age, but finally started drama classes as a teenager. After graduating in 2018 from Italia Conti Academy in London as a Carlton Hobbs Bursary Award Runner-Up and Alan Bates Award finalist, Kate has appeared in a variety of projects with companies including Pilot Theatre, Zoo Co, BAC Beatbox Academy and BBC Radio 4.

She has been teaching (including LAMDA), coaching and facilitating workshops for nearly 9 years at various theatre schools including Big Bold Youth, the BAC Beatbox Academy and on the voice module at one of London’s top drama schools, Mountview. Kate is passionate about language, Shakespeare and music and has enjoyed being able to pass on her experience in these areas to young people and emerging artists. She is a strong believer that even if the aim is not to be an actor, drama, speech and elocution can help anyone build their confidence and creativity whatever their experience or background. She has a current Enhanced DBS check.

Kate tailors each lesson depending on a student’s personal learning style and specific needs. Whatever level of experience, Kate enjoys helping students reach their potential and likes them to walk away after each lesson with a feeling of accomplishment.

Kate currently offers online coaching only via Zoom. All you need is a good internet connection and a webcam.

PAYMENT

All bookings are processed via The Elocution Coach Ltd. When booking a new session, clients have the option to pay via debit/credit card, PayPal or by bank transfer. There is also 5% and 10% discount for pre-paid block bookings of 5 or 10 sessions respectively.

VOICE ASSESSMENT

Kate is able to do voice assessments (a prerequisite for elocution coaching) which lasts 45-60 minutes and costs £25. By the end, Kate will be able to tell exactly what she has heard in your voice and where you need to work the most in order to achieve your aims/goals.

FREE CONSULTATION

Kate also offers a FREE 20-minute consultation not only to give her a clear picture of your aim/goals but also to answer any questions you might have before booking in.
