  • Tell us more about your subject. How did you develop an interest in this field?

I’ve always been fascinated by how different subjects overlap. I love to teach languages like English, Hindi and Marathi and I also teach Physics, Chemistry and Biology to many students but my interest in mainly Maths and Biology developed from a desire to understand the 'logic' of the universe—how everything from a snowflake to a planet follows a pattern. However, I realized that logic alone isn't enough; we need a universal language that is English to articulate those discoveries. I developed a passion for teaching all three because they represent a complete toolkit for a student: the ability to calculate, investigate, and communicate.
  • What or who is the motivation behind you choosing to teach & why?

My motivation is the desire to build 'thinkers,' not just 'test-takers'. I’m inspired by the idea of Content and language Integrated Learning—where a student doesn't just learn English grammar, but uses it to solve a Science experiment or explain a Maths problem. Seeing a student gain 'dual proficiency'—becoming both a scientist and a storyteller—is what keeps me coming back to the classroom every day.
  • How does your work help society?

My work helps create well-rounded citizens who are both technically capable and emotionally intelligent. By teaching Maths and Biology, I am equipping the next generation with the problem-solving skills needed for future STEM careers. By teaching Public Speaking and Creative Writing, I am ensuring they can advocate for their ideas, lead with empathy, and connect with others in an increasingly digital world.
  • If you had to think of a role model for your work, who do you think of & why?

I often think of Leonardo da Vinci. He is the ultimate role model for my multidisciplinary approach because he saw no boundary between the arts and the sciences. He used mathematical precision to create art and creative observation to fuel his scientific inventions. I strive to mirror that 'polymath' spirit in my teaching, showing students that being 'good at Maths' doesn't mean you can't also be a 'creative writer'
  • Tell us about your hobbies outside teaching.

"To keep my own mind balanced, I enjoy Travelling, Watching Shows and Listening to Music. I find that Travelling and Exploring is like a living science and math experiment—measuring growth and understanding biology—while Listening to music is a form of visual creative writing. These hobbies remind me to stay curious and keep 'learning by doing,' which is exactly what I encourage my students to do.
  • Do you have an anecdote to tell us about your student or professional life?

I once had a student who loved Science but dreaded English because he found it 'too abstract.' I challenged him to write a Creative Biography of an atom journeying through a chemical reaction. By using his scientific knowledge as the 'plot,' his writing suddenly became vivid and engaged. It was a powerful reminder that when we bridge the gap between 'hard' and 'soft' subjects, students stop seeing school as a set of chores and start seeing it as an adventure. It was a mesmerizing experience for me to read his write up.
