About Ava
Hello! I am Ava and I'm honoured to present myself as your potential psychology tutor.
I hold a First Class degree from Cardiff University and now I use psychology every day as a nuclear safety consultant. It means I can explain ideas in a way that feels real and applicable to the world outside of textbooks.
I’ve also worked as a SEN teaching assistant, supporting students with different learning needs. That experience taught me to be patient, calm and adaptable, and to explain tricky concepts in a clear way.
I tutor GCSE and A-Level Psychology, and my lessons are friendly, structured and tailored to each student. My goal is to help students understand the subject properly, feel confident in their abilities and perform at their best.

I focus on making psychology feel straightforward and relevant. I break down complex ideas into simple steps, use real-world examples from my professional background and adapt my approach for each student.
Lesson length:
Most lessons are 60 minutes, with longer 90-minute sessions available for exam preparation or deeper topic revision.

I have a First Class Psychology degree from Cardiff University, A-Level Psychology (A), professional experience applying psychology in the nuclear industry, and hands-on experience as an SEN teaching assistant.
