About Cordelia
Hello everyone!
My name is Cordelia de Lageneste, I am half English half French and am bilingual. I am a 20 year old student in Psychology in London.
Being born and bred in Paris, I specialized in French literature for my A levels and loved studying this language. I want to share my knowledge and help young students learn this language. I am patient, determined and will encourage you to acquire more understanding of French. I only teach children generally from age 7 to 18. I taught an 11 year old English for a year and she progressed a lot during the year, her school results got better and better.

I teach French to young students, extra lessons to help children progress on their French (6-17 years olds)
Back in France, I taught English to an 11 year old girl, I gave her extra lessons after school and helped her with her homework.
I first ask my students (or the parent) about their goals and what they want to learn.
We always start the lesson with a causal conversation about their day in the foreign language, this is to practice oral expression and to train everyday conversations.
Then, I like to work on written expression, in which we study a passage, translate it and analyse it.
I mostly focus on creative teaching, this means that I always make sure the students is active during the session and depending on the age of the student I like to use drawings and colours to teach the basics of French language.
I believe that 45min is an appropriate length of time for a session.
