I recently completed my PhD in Psychology at McGill University. I am currently completing a postdoctoral fellowship at the University of Toronto. My ultimate career goal is to pursue an academic career. As such, teaching and knowledge sharing have always been one of my core values.

I am a trained tutor in Psychology with over 6 years of experience. I am willing to tutor University and Cegep level students in Psychology and Statistics.
My teaching philosophy revolves around engagement and autonomy support. I believe that engaging the student with the material is a core component of their success. Students who are more engaged with the material tend to better understand and internalize the information they are studying. I hope to guide students in their journey by providing autonomy support, which in turn increases their intrinsic motivation to learn. Autonomy support involves guidance and structure while also allowing student choice and freedom.
A typical lesson plan would involve the following:
- identifying realistic goals for the session
- reviewing and synthesizing the material
- practicing the material
- identifying ways to continue practicing the material
- overview of the session goals and set goals for the next session
